Kanchenjunga Base Camp Trek covers both North and South Base Camp of Kanchenjunga. This Kanchenjunga Base Camp Trek is one of wildest trek in eastern Nepal. Kanchenjunga 8586m, is the world’s third highest mountain. This giant mountain name is actually Kangchhen Dzongkha in Buddhist Language. It`s meaning big mountain fort. Buddhist belief this mountain is local protector deity and great treasures of snow. The people inhabitant surrounding are Sherpa community in western and southern side, Denzongpa and Lepcha community in eastern side of Kanhcenjunga mountain. Kanchenjunga is eastern border with India’s Sikkim.

Lower part of Kanchenjunga is greenery and beautiful paddy fields, upper is high alpine landscape and captivating snowed peaks. Its alpine ecosystem preserves thousands of medicinal herbs, fragranced magnolias, rhododendrons, orchids and various species of plants with endangered wildlife like red panda, snow leopard, black bears, musk deer and numerous species of birds including Himalayan monal. Lower valley is home of Hindu and upper hills are housed with Buddhist. Pathibara Temple is one of biggest Hindu temple in Nepal that lies in this region.

Best time to trek Kanchenjunga Base Camp Trek is from March to May and September to November. One can trek during the winter also but most of Lodges are close in winter. We can tailor this program as per your time reducing Kanchenjunga North Base Camp or South Base Camp.
