Api Himal 7132m. is the highest mountain in the West Nepal. Which is situated in Darchula district far west Nepal. Api Base Camp Trek consider wilderness trek and very few people trekked this region due to difficult access. We need to drive by night bus to Auttaria and next night to Latinath the trek trail head. One can fly to Dhangadi and drive to Attariya, instead of first night bus, however second night must drive, there is no option.

The area is inhabitant of Khasa (Chhetriya) Arya community. People speaks local Khas Language that is much similar like Nepali Language. They are follower of Shiva, one of main Hindhu tutelary God, holy Lake Kalidunga is home to it as local believe.

Geographically it is mixture of Hills and Mountains. Lower part is greenery, rough and rocky hills and upper part is barren mountain. We can see  panoramic view of mountains like Kap Chuli 6680m, Nampha Himal 6611m I, II & III, Bobaya Himal 6808m and Jethi Bahurani Himal 6850m.
