Nar Phu Trek

Nar Phu Trek is an opportunity to visit newly opened and less explored Nar Phu villages and connect our journey towards popular trail of Annapurna circuit trek. The remote villages of Nar Phu offers great trekking adventures through forests, yak pasture lands, visiting monasteries, passing Kanga La pass (5100m.) and then later popular Thorong La pass (5416m.) with great views of Annapurna Himalayan range. Nar Phu region was untouched by outsiders until 2002 and this trek connected to Annapurna circuit is something that any adventure lover would love to embark in.

Nar Phu Trek begins after your arrival at Kathmandu followed by cultural sightseeing around world heritage sites and completion of necessary trekking preparations. During the initial days of our Nar Phu Trek, we drive from Kathmandu to Chamje via Beshishar which is also the starting point of our trek.  Then after, we make our way through Dharapani, Koto and cross the Marsyandi river bridge and enter Phu village. High altitude pasture land, culturally and naturally blessed Phu village gives excellent views of snow capped peaks along with insights into local tradition and cultures. Furthermore, we arrive at Nar Besi, explore Nar village and cross exciting Kanga La pass. We immerse in blissful alpine surroundings around Ngawal, Manang, and connect popular Annapurna Circuit Trails at Yak Kharka, Thorong Phedi before crossing high altitude Thorong La pass that takes us further towards pilgrimage site of Muktinath and Jomsom. We fly to Pokhara and drive back to Kathmandu.

With possibility or combination of both tea house and tented camping trek, you need to possess good level of physical fitness along with passion towards exploring exceptionally beautiful remote areas, meeting new people and acknowledging local cultures.  Autumn and spring both being the best season for this Nar Phu Trek.
